Two things have become staples in my home over the past few weeks.
The first? The Harvest Grains Blend from Trader Joe's - with orzo, Israeli cous cous, baby garbanzos, and red quinoa. I mix this with whatever leftover protein we have from dinner the night before (or tuna), grape tomatoes, cucumber, and whatever else is lying around from our farm share (last week Em's dad sent us home with a ton of grilled corn on the cob, so that took priority). A drizzle of homemade vinaigrette and I have a perfectly energizing and delicious lunch.
The second? My House salt and pepper shakers from West Elm. I rarely use salt or pepper with meals, but I couldn't resist these. I'm still quite depressed that I never got my hands on one of the House butter dish, but these will suffice. I've paired them with a family tradition, toothpicks. And I'm southern enough not to feel ashamed about them, too. They're in one of those single-serving jelly jars from a hotel.
