open house + studio sale

Saturday was spent buzzing around an awesome artist residence where my dear sweet Karida lives and works - specifically dyeing the yarns you see in from her one-woman business Neighborhood Fiber Co., sold in her online shop and at Fibre Space in Old Town Alexandria. The Open House + Studio Sale provided an unusual opportunity to spend time in a creator's living space - and in a building filled with pianists, painters, photographers and even professional roller skaters! I met lots of awesome people, got to see and touch a ton of awesome fiber and contributed my party planning skills to pull it all together. Oh, and I got to spend some time with my bestest of best pals, including The Bird and Angela and Joel.

And thank you to Em, who was a trooper all day long and did all of the dishes.
