Marvelous: pin cushions

This week has apparently been about Amazing Finds and not about anything deep or hilarious like dentists or undergarments.  I consider this quite a feat!  While sipping my strange yet uniquely compelling sparkling red wine and eating some tasty Thai for dinner, I stumbled across this shop when I opened up Etsy's homepage.

One of my favorite textures in the world is linen.  I love when it's soft or scratchy, brightly dyed or completely natural.  The artist behind namolio touched a nerve when they combined linen and the homegrown appeal of granny square crochet in gorgeous colors for a fabulous price.  I look forward to kicking sewing lessons into high gear with a certain Bird soon, and you can be sure that I will be poking my pins into one of these.

  1. Okay, this is really weird. We used to be LJ-friends (I was addison, formerly shandreoline), and I just found your blog through a comment you made on the Swiss Watching blog. I recognized the photo of you as a little girl, heh.

Anyway. I hope you're doing okay!
