Today my beautiful mama turns a young and spry 61 years old.  There were years in my life where I imagined that I could face the world without someone like her to lean on, but I just can't and I'm so thankful she's around to prop me up when I need it, to remind of me of the simple and important things when I forget, and to laugh at me even in my most vulnerable moments (no really, it helps).  She's the singer of off-tune songs, the jokester who regularly forgets the punchline, the whistler without a beat, the careful and meticulous family manager and one of the craftiest ladies I've ever known.  When I grow up I want to be just like her.  Happy Birthday, Ma!
